Looks like the Toledo loss kicked our butt in the Mid-Major Poll, and the IPFW win cancelled out our doing anything good to garner some consideration to get back on the list of teams that received votes.

A win against Oakland would surely help the cause - might be enough to get us back into the Top 25. They're currently ranked ahead of Butler!
But, it'll take our A, or at least A- game. Some open looks for Rowdy would help, good shot selection all around, Cory's ankle's not going to help, etc.
We'll see! Hopefully we can keep it within a basket or two, at least.

Someone forgot to bold Detroit with 41 votes.

Huh - fair enough! Detroit's win over that peerless foe Central Michigan was apparently sufficiently more impressive, than Loyola's loss to Depaul, to push Detroit ahead of Loyola in the poll.

Someone forgot to bold Detroit with 41 votes. my bad. it wasn't intentional.

Ouch. Zero votes in this poll ? It seems the Loyola win should have counted for something if they drew 20 votes. Guess our rep has taken a beating, probably due to the Toledo loss as Valporun says.

The Valpo win will probably cost Oakland... but is it going to help Valpo?
I won't be surprised if we pick up some votes, but fail to crack the top 25. Will we even pass Loyola and Detroit?
There's no great shame in missing out on the top 25. They seem to be decent teams rated. Maybe we deserve to be in over an e.g. Creighton, but I don't think there are a lot of obvious mistakes in the top 25 ("they have no business being here") right now.
Butler should move up this week (top 5?), and then if we manage to upset them at their place (but they looked awfully tough against Wash St!) we'll pick up a ranking. Otherwise, we might have to rack up a good winning streak in HL play before we break in... Might not happen, even with a good to very good season.

we picked up some votes, and butler picked up a pair of #1 votes after winning their tourney in hawaii. with some solid early conference games we could crack the rankings.

OK - about what I expected. In the "big time" polls Butler picked up a pretty good number of votes, in each poll. CSU hangs on with their one vote.

We might move up the Mid-Major 25 "also ran" list a bit, but I think we're still not going to crack the top 25. Not that I'll complain if we do (we beat #1! and have beaten #16, losing only to #5, away).
CSU will fall below Butler... will they fall out of the top 10?
Not sure Butler will move above #4...

Oh, wait. The Milwaukee game was this week too. So, Butler: got smashed at Milwaukee, smashed Cleveland State, and edge Youngstown. I hesitate to predict what that's going to do to their ranking. Maybe they _won't_ pass CSU? And they'll both move down?

At this point, I would be extremely surprised if we don't crack the poll
