This is the first major victory this generation of Valpo students have seen at the ARC. Court rushing wasn't necessary, but now they just need to show up the rest of the season and support these guys.

Probably as good of a college game as I've ever seen. If you think we won because we hit lucky shots, just look at Butler's stats. Both teams played their hearts out. Butler played a very solid game, no doubt. Our hero(s) have to be Brandon and Ryan. Oh, and Howard and Jay did pretty good also! Could this possibly mean that milanmiracle can finish his sessions with the shrink concerning his half empty tinking?? I hope so!! Oh, and don't forget, this cost our guy jj 5 grand!!!!!!

I've been up since 5.50am to watch this game best lack of sleep feeling I have ever had. Fantastic win could not be more proud of Ryan and the team. Valpo's future is looking exciting

Court rushing wasn't necessary, Yeah, yeah, it was a game we had a reasonable chance of winning. Maybe a toss-up. To a team below you in the league standings. But, we beat _Butler_! National runner-up, most-frequent opponent in history, haven't beat them in 19 years, Butler! In overtime! With three starters, two all-league players, fouled out! We beat Butler! Yes, they can storm the court.

Had some bounces roll your way in OT, but Valpo deserved to win this game.
I have a feeling you'll win every one at least this season and next against this group of Butler players.

Valpo's future is looking exciting I was upset that Ryan wasn't shooting. He had many opportunities early, but he passed them up. When he finally started shooting, HE WAS HUGE!!! I hope he's able to keep this shooting spree on for the rest of the season.

Matt Kenney was also huge and the glue the entire 2d half and OT. TEAM is all 10 guys who played and the the three on the bench rooting for their teammates.

Another quick point. This was a big game from a psychological point of view. Butler was to Valpo what Detroit's Bad Boys were to Jordan's Bulls. When you beat them, then you unlock the potential the team has.

We don't know what his instructions are from the coach? Plus Ryan isn't going to just throw up crap, he will take good shots when he is feeling it and his feet are set. That being said I also would like him to take those open shots cause when he does he is on fire. I shall tell him so when we arrive very soon But fantastic play by Matt, wonderful free throw shooting by Jay, gutsy effort by Brandon, nice job by Cory, huge shots by Howard, great efforts by Mike, Erik and Kevin and wonderful support by everyone on the bench so wish we could have been there to see that game only 10 days late

Valpo10 and Blackpantheruwm do you remember the last time valpo beat Butler it big let them rush Yawn. We just finished SWEEPING them on Sunday. It's not a big deal. If Wright State beats Milwaukee tomorrow, it'll be their first win at Milwaukee since the late 90s. Are they going to storm our court? Edit: I'll say here what I said on our board. It's as big as a win over Valpo or Cleveland State is.

Missed the game, but watched it on TV. What a great game, but... The free throw thing bit us just a bit. Matt Kenney missed a front end with 4:50 and then Wood was 1/2 at 3:47. Those potential 3 points would loom large a little later. However, hats off to Jay Harris for going 6/6 down the OT stretch. Ok, now for the complaining. Was it just me, or did we really get squeezed down the stretch on fouls? 1. Refs swallowed their whistle on Cory's drive on the last play in regulation. I can kinda see that, but 2. Refs failed to call Howard on Cory's left hander early in OT and then called over the back on Cory for his fifth foul. Ticky tack with almost no contact. 3. Brandon Wood's last foul was completely bogus. Replay showed little or no contact, Brandon even was avoiding contact. Once we got a lead in OT and the momentum, the refs gave us calls. Hey, enough bitchin, lets just enjoy the win. lowposter
