Also, the last four games probably isn't a good sample size statistically speaking (it may carry more basketball weight, but not pure mathematically). Also, being nit-picky about the word points/point is pretty ridiculous. I am done with the topic of the Buggs foul, and his FT shooting, etc. Lets go get Milwaukee Wednesday. I agree. We have talked this issue to death with no prospect of resolution. I am able to agree with all the major points made by both sides but Homer Drew is in charge and I doubt that he cares much what we think. Let him make the decisions, thats why we pay him. So lets all be willing to settle for a draw, shake hands, have a big group hug; and with renewed spirit, move on to our next argument. So with that in mind, UWM by 15.

I honestly wasn't trying to be nit-picky. The way I read the post, I thought the point was it is preferable to leave a 33% FT shooter in the game to be intentionally fouled. Judging by the reaction to my response, maybe I misunderstood. Anyway, I respect everyone's opinion, whether we agree or not. My apologies if my response upset anyone.

Judging by the reaction to my response, maybe I misunderstood. Anyway, I respect everyone's opinion, whether we agree or not. My apologies if my response upset anyone. Definitely not the argument I was trying to make. I was stating the need to keep Buggs in the game, let alone a liability on the court, or on the team, or on a team playing D1 basketball (which was argued against). Saying someone has no basketball knowledge when they are surprised (at the time) of a foul in that situation is rather asinine and blatantly negative. Calling it the coaching blunder of the year is just flat out wrong, given the statistics and analysis of the situation. In my opinion, the bigger blunder would have been to NOT have Buggs in the game, given a missed shot/turnover which would have led to the shot clock being turned off (or close to it) and our best defender off the court. It's a good lesson in '20/20 hindsight'. If Harris is in the game at this point and he takes the shot clock down and turn it over, people on here would be wondering why Harris is in the game in the situation when he has already committed 4 turnovers. Lets start being more positive about our players, our coaches, and our school. Instead of commending Buggs on his stellar defensive play last game, he gets thrown under the bus and argued that he shouldn't be playing D1 basketball. I'm really wondering how this board was during Valpo's 5-14 season. We are a good team this year. When our defense stiffens it's borderline orgasmic. So let's be positive and optimistic from here on out.

When our defense stiffens it's borderline orgasmic. That's what she said.
