I was one of the supporters of University of Milwaukee when we voted on that... How can you think that about Wisconsin State? There's a lot of reasons it wouldn't work. For one, we'd be the second WSU in the conference. But more important is that WSU IS subservient to UW. Why? Sure, Ohio State>Ohio. But you're high if you think Penn State is a better school than Penn. Not to mention, look at all the other schools in our immediate area: Illinois State, Iowa State, Missouri State, Indiana State, Minnesota State. Are any of them thought of to be close to their University of ______ counterparts? To be fair, Milwaukee isn't anywhere close to the University of Wisconsin(-Madison). Who are you trying to kid? If any of the University of Wisconsin schools are anywhere close to Madison it would probably be La Crosse, not Milwaukee (academically speaking). UW-Whitewater. Great academic programs along with great athletic teams (Their football team would smoke Valpo)

Who said this game would come down to the last minute? Well there goes Valpo's chance to host the HL Tourney.

I can't believe Rogers missed that wide open layup. Plus we can't hit our fts. A really disappointing loss.

Getting the first seed is still likely. We should've been able to make one of those last 6 shots to win the game. The ball didn't bounce our way. Milwaukee shot well from behind the arch, many of the shots were contested still. Lets get some momentum with a Bracketbuster win and then win the last three conference games.

We will still likely host the tourney. If we win out, we tie with CSU. We hold the tiebreaker with them if Butler is in third. If Milwaukee is in third, we don't, but that's unlikely to happen, as CSU plays Milwaukee. Meaning that either CSU or Mil has to lose, so we will either be tied with CSU with 4 losses if we both win out and But will be third, or if Mil wins against CSU and has third and we win out, we will be in first. I don't see another loss for us except maybe M st

Tough tough loss....Rogers needed to go up strong at the end....but I'm sure no one feels worse than he does....I said we'd lose two the second time around, and now we have....we need to win the rest and we'll still host the tournament.....Saturday will be fun, but MONDAY is the game that counts.

You don't hit free throws, you miss two bunnies at the end, you don't deserve to win. I do have to say, Boyle sure has a strong left arm. Amazing how far he can push somebody off to get his shot. Only called once. Hey, if you get away with it that's all that matters, right?

Disapointing finish. A lot of pointless turnovers (travels especially) and Harris must not be used to how big his feet are as he has stepped out of bounds several times without any real pressure. It was an exciting game but it drove me crazy how we were unable to adjust to Boyle running off screens over and over to get open looks.
HLN feed was terrible for me. I had no problems with the other games tonight but the VU - UWM game froze the whole time (desktop, laptop, & ps3) including Rogers' put back at the end. A CSU fan apparently had the same thing happen.

Well there goes Valpo's chance to host the HL Tourney. Okay, that was an instant reaction. Since Milwaukee must still play at Cleveland State Valpo has a good chance of hosting the HL tourney. If Butler and either Milwaukee or Cleveland State win out and Valpo wins out then Valpo will host. The key game is up at Green Bay. We just can't lose to the Phoenix again. Butler barely beat Green Bay yesterday by 2. If Butler, Cleveland State and Valpo win their games up till the last day and Butler beats Loyola at Hinkle on 2/26 and Cleveland State beats Green Bay at the Wolstein (both those games are during the day) then the number one seed will come down to the last game on Saturday 2/26 with Valpo hosting UIC. What a tight, tight race in the Horizon League standings.

I third that...horrible video feed.
We really did have a lot of opportunities. Even if one of the 3's Wood had in a row went in. Hope these guys use this loss as motivation for the rest of the games.

This is the first time I've had trouble with the video on a HLN game. This was ridiculous...too many trying to watch? Can't be the cable because it always has worked before, so had to be something else....I tried two different computers and got the same on both
