UNBELIEVABLE that we're only down by 11 at half. We should be down by 20. This actually leaves some hope.

If Butler had actually played well in the first half, we'd be down by 30 already.

Half-time speech focuses on the fact that as bad as you played that first half, you're only down 11. Focus on freeing up Wood in the 2d half, and keep working the in and out as Johnson and Van Wijk have had success inside. And yes, hit a FT, please.

Crazy that Howard Little has 4 fouls already. The last one was ridiculous though; if that's over the back, Howard should have gotten an intentional for knocking Johnson over before an inbound pass.
With Howard limited and Kenny out, it's gonna be up to Broekhoff to get picks, and for B-Dub to get some open looks. Johnson and Van Wijk need to be ready to go hard to the glass on both ends...

Is that 4 or 5 missed layups/bunnies now by VU? Terrible stuff. Lead is up to 19, we haven't scored in the first 4.5 minutes of the half. Yikes....

Why does it seem we're not mentally prepared to play good teams? We look like we did against Purdue; unforced turnovers, so jittered up we're missing layups, missing FTs, not rotating defensively. The only difference between that game and this game: we actually were hitting shots against Purdue.

They outscore us 8-0 in the first 4 1/2 min. of the 2nd half. We don't call a timeout. I've guess we're saving them for the end of the game...

Keep shooting 3s, I guess. They seem to have settled down a bit. They need to take advantage of the fact Howard and Smith are in a bit of foul trouble.

Agreed. Good run by us to get within 9.

Career high for Harris, surely?
A good time to find his shot!

Ugly, ugly turnovers. Man, this team is tough to watch -- so undisciplined with the ball.

I turned on the game, I don't know, 5 minutes into the first 20? I must have missed the worst of the bleeding. It was already 14-3 or something.
Since then Valpo's not looked _good_ exactly, but, sort of good enough. Offsetting bad turnovers and the like with some good things.
Hopefully they have another run or two left in them here...

fw--is that rhetorical or are you looking for the exact number, let's see Buggs 2, Van Wijk 3, Johnson 1, Wood 2, ....
