I have no idea what it would take to do this, but given that Green Bay plays at the Bears at roughly the same time as the Green Bay-Valpo game, Valpo needs to try to move the game time to noon or earlier. If they don't, the ARC will be nearly empty I am, of course, doubting that the NFL will move the Packers-Bears NFC Championship game to accomodate the Valpo game.

Believe me, the administrators know.

Believe me, the administrators know. Good to know. Hopefully they will be able to move it, either up to noon or even 11, or back to 7. Go Valpo and go Green Bay (Packers).

I was just going to come on here and post the same thing. I'm hoping that Mark LaBarbara is already petitioning the Horizon League to get the time changed. Noon would be ideal, don't think GB would want to play a night game then have to drive back late Sunday night. Bears kickoff is 2 p.m., so a noon start would mean the game would get done just about then.

i fixed it for you Aren't you supposed to be a Rams fan? i'm slowly getting back on the rams bandwagon after jumping as far off as i could back in 05. but in the mean time, the bears filled that void since they were the closest team and had the most exposure during the time.

I know the university put money into radio advertising. If the ads have already been recorded and aired on Indiana 105 for next week, changing the start time might be a real pain.

People will stay at home for the Packers/Bears and not come to the ARC. Valpo can change the ads to say "see Green Bay get beat twice in one day" or "Favre and the Phenix will not be happy about the results Sunday." (Yes, I realize Favre played for the Vikings last but he still hates to see the Packers or Bears win)

They've played games in front of smaller crowds. I just don't see a good reason to change the game time. Fans that care about basketball will go, and enough fans have DVR that they can dvr the Bears game, and who knows...maybe they'd get home to only have to catch up on a small portion of the Bears game.

I vote for 11, have to be back in St. Louis for something in the evening. Mind you, I currently don't have a ticket, but I'm guessing there won't be too much trouble getting one at this point. If they do leave it where it is, I might still stay. This is getting tremendously exciting.

Let the sports marketing department go to work this morning. This is a game which should absolutely be packed. Throw open the gym to all kids...do something to put people in the seats. Go to the local grade school with tickets for kids with perfect attendance or good grades, etc. Tickets have been sold, the revenue is already in the cigar box. Bring people in. As much as the Friday/Sunday format makes sense...it is a killer competing against Friday night HS hoops and in this case NFL. lowposter

The Green Bay Phenix have already changed game times around for the Packers. Of course they use the same parking lots as the Packers too. But I think you will see heavy pressure on the Valpo staff from the UWGB staff to move the game time.
