Gutsy gutsy performance by Ryan Broekhoff today. Yes, injuries took a huge toll on Crusaders today. But game was certainly in reach. Valpo needs to beat Butler badly on Saturday. Butler leads Milwaukee 37-32. I wouldn't count on the Panthers.

Its one game. I really hope we dont have fans who think the sky is falling becuase of this one game....
Our leading scorer was out! Should we have won, yes we should have being up 7 at half, but we didnt. This game is over, were still in first in the horizon with the biggest game of the year coming up next. Lets support the team for the great year they are having instead of beating them down and blaming the coaching staff for 1 close loss.

I don't think the sky is falling but I'm not very happy after this loss. Injuries or not we had a lead and let it slip away. The offense took its patented "5 minute nap" at the worst possible time. Good teams find a way to win. I'm not going to sit here and clap and say everything is ok.

The team definitely battled today. At the end you could tell our guards were gassed. Injuries really slowed our defense in the 2nd half. It was great they were able to stay in this game. The offense struggled to find those easy buckets that they did versus Milwaukee. The play I kept thinking about the entire game was the Kenney missed dunk in the first half. Props to him for the rest of the play as he continues to play with great intensity.

Any game this close is going to have a lot of "if only" plays... (Those three FT's. Kenney missed dunk. A couple of failed fast breaks, maybe that one included, that led to easy Green Bay transition baskets the other way, etc.)
A frustrating loss, but without Wood, with the other injuries, 1-2 for the weekend's not too bad.

With our rotation down to seven with Brandon and Jay out and two of those guys at about 50%, that makes our real rotation at about 6. They played a heck of a game with great defensive pressure and made most of out free throws.
An heroic effort by Ryan and Kenney. Remember when chef said that by the end of the season he expected Matt to be one of the best defenders in the league? Sure looks like he was right on.
Lets hope we can get healthy for the Butler tilt.

Valpo MUST play a complete 40 minute game today! Agreed? It's after the fact, but totally agreed! Valpo had a 9:09 FG drought going into the game's final minute, and that killed all the momentum and wasted a nice start. The Crusaders opened the door, and Green Bay walked through with some great, consistent shooting late. Also, I'll join everyone in giving their kudos to Rowdy. Great all-around game with that hip playing a factor in the 2nd half. Those 2 treys he hit were amazing. Kenney also played well. He really showed some heart today. Now with the week to prepare for Butler, let's get healthy. Hopefully B-Wood and Rowdy are close to 100%. Jay was on crutches at the end, so not sure how ready he'll be by Saturday.

It's going all to the state of Wisconsin today. Milwaukee knocks off Butler in OT 86-80. You got to give credit to the Panthers for never quitting and showing Valpo that the Bulldogs are still very beatable. Cleve State fans must be overjoyed.

I was watching the game on the HLN and your student section looked pathetic. I have been to games in the past and Valpo had a great student atmosphere. What happened?

My only real complaint, and it's a big one, was the complete lack of urgency and the asinine decision making in the last 2 minutes of the game. Hey, let's walk the ball up the floor... let's chuck a step back three while being heavily guarded (missed might I add) in a 2 possession ballgame. IF Valpo used their brains in the last two minutes they would have won! Those miracle 3's by Broekhoff and Johnson would have mattered in a WIN instead of a loss. Let's hope everybody can get healty for the next game!

I agree that the student section looked terrible. Has something happened on campus where the students are boycotting the games? Are the kids coming to Valpo just not interested in sports? Maybe we don't actually have 4,000 kids going to school? It's pretty sad.

Its unfortunate you guys were unable to pull out a win today but we did you a favor by just sweeping Butler and getting them off your guys back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was at the game and thought it was a decent crowd considering the time. Thought thew guys played a very gutsy game. Little, Buggs and Kenney all had over 35 minutes of playing time, Cory had 31 minutes. The guys were gassed. With Wood and then harris out of the game and Ryan able to play at half speed GB went into a zone once they got the lead and we did not have the gunners to take that open outside shot. Give Ryan a big plus for his performance. FT shooting was better but still wasn't good enough. The defense was there, even with the tired legs. Valpo is deep in players but 2 out and 2 others at half speed were the difference. One game doesn't destroy the season. Lets get healthy and start a new streak. Go Vu .... Go Packers ...........
